How will you change?

The Editrix

A new year means a fresh start, and even if you think new year’s resolutions are lame, it’s still a time to think about how we can live more meaningfully. Want prosperity? Better health? Stronger relationships? Cuter hair? YOU are in charge of your life—and there’s no better time to get started. We’ve got more than 20 (120, if you count the pushups below) ways to help you change. Any more ideas?

New today at ChronicBabe.com:
Working well with chronic illness

Carol Decker

It’s about making the right choices, says guest writer Carol Decker. She’s lived with multiple chronic illnesses for many years, and has built a successful, fulfilling career in spite of it. Catch her perspective and learn from her most powerful example: You can’t control everything, Babes, but you do have some decision-making power that can make things go your way.

What's on our plate?

Beindulge175

Change! One of the easiest things a Babe can do to feel better on bad days is put on a little makeup. Now don’t worry, we’re not saying you’re not gorgeous just the way you are. But wouldn’t a little lavender eye shadow make things better? Editrix Jenni received the gift of Bare Escentuals , a collection of 20 eye and face colors, and she’s having a blast mixing things up every day.

Did you know?

Pushups are some of the easiest and hardest exercises to do. Easy: because you need no equipment, no special outfit, to make them work. Hard: because, well, they’re kind of hard. Try the One Hundred Pushups challenge and see change happen!

What we're up to lately...

Celebrating what we believe will be a totally rockin’ 2009…moisturizing our hands at every turn…working on the soon-to-be ChronicBabe forum (more details to come!)…rebuilding our meditation habit…still contemplating a tattoo (thanks for all the recent advice, Babes!)…writing thank-you notes, which we believe is becoming a lost art…telling our health care providers how much we appreciate their hard work…getting ready to go gluten-free again…working on our first podcasts (we promise, they’re really happening!)…and feeling thankful for all of you, dear readers.
