What's on our plate?

veggies

Lots of vegetables, fruit and other healthy stuff. It's been almost a month since I joined Weight Watchers, as I wrote in a post a few weeks ago. I'm proud to say I'm down about 15 pounds and actually enjoying vegetables I've never loved before, like brussels sprouts, cauliflower and leeks. Quinoa? Oh yea! Spinach in the morning smoothie? Oh yea! It's amazing how much better I feel. If you're on the fence about trying a new healthy living approach, three words: go for it!

 

Did you know?

Today is National Organ Donor Day. At the national organ donor registry, you can sign up to give a life-saving gift. Of course we want you around forever, but maybe you can help someone who is truly in need. I know a couple people currently on organ donor lists and I would donate if I could. Consider it, Babes!

What we're up to lately...

Still enjoying Christmas lights (OK, fine! I admit it. They're still bringing life and color to my patio.)...working out frequently and in fun new ways...finding ways to achieve balance in diet, schedule, energy and everything...getting excited about the impending birth of my next nephew...gearing up for a trip to NYC...doing some personal journaling...trying out new recipes...making crafts for my home...and, as always, feeling enormous love for all of you! XO

Get inspired! A few weeks ago, I made a list of things that are currently inspiring me. I'm curious: what keeps your spirits afloat this dreary time of year? Shoot me a few ideas in an email, won't you?

Communicate! I just found Tiny Letter, a newsletter service that's so simple to use it's almost freaky. You could use it to share stories with friends and family, do a recipe-share with girlfriends, put calls out for support when you need it, or blast some random love into the universe whenever the mood strikes!

Tell someone you love them TODAY. I don't care who it is. Tell a friend, a neighbor, a sibling, a parent, a lover, a spouse, a co-worker...seriously. Just try it. Sometimes it feels so good to give without expecting something in return. And you'll make their day! Love you, Jenni
