Goodie Bag #159: Are you in need of inspiration?   -   view in your web browser

It's time to get a little political

The Editrix

You know, it's never too early to start campaigning. That's the feeling I get from current events, anyway. The guys running for president just can't wait to yammer on about all kinds of stuff, contradicting themselves over and over. You know who else can start campaigning? YOU! If you love a candidate for public office because they've got a great health care approach - or someone currently in office you think is going a great job - spread the word! Each one of us has a voice.

New today at ChronicBabe.com:
Please allow me to inspire you

New today image

This time of year, I always get a little bummed out. The winter holidays are over, I'm taking down my Christmas tree, the streets are a gray, slushy mess...and I feel kind of uninspired. So this year, instead of being OK with that, I spent some time thinking of things that inspire me - and I'm sharing them with you. I hope it gets you all fired up! (Right: a bunch of colorful bracelets to inspire you!)

What's on our plate?

jenni speaks

It's time to host our first-ever ChronicBabe conference. What will it look like? When will it be? What grand establishment will house us? Who will cater it? Will I get on stage and make a fool of myself? Only time will tell! Oh, wait - YOU can tell, too. That is, if you shoot me a message telling me your wildest hopes and dreams for our first conference. Don't be shy! (Right: me, speaking, wearing a much more chilled out than I would probably wear for you ladies!)

Did you know?

January is national Thyroid Awareness Month. And I've got thyroid disease, yippee! When I was looking for interesting thyroid advocacy groups I only found boring stuff...then I remembered Dear Thyroid, where folks write letters to their glands. It's pretty awesome. What a great take on a serious subject.

What we're up to lately...

Driving to the country with friends...sledding...cooking ebelskiver (fluffy little Danish pancakes)...hot tubbing like it was 1975...doing yoga (still)...drinking good bourbon...attending physical therapy...making a January light-up wreath for the apartment door, like a weirdo...planning a trip to NYC...still writing our special top-secret project (it's soming soon, I promise!)...but most of all, as ever, feeling thankful for YOU, babe! XO Jenni
