Greetings from my couch!

The past few weeks have been busier than ever, and I’m feeling the effects! Even someone without fibromyalgia would probably be taking a day or two off. I know you’re used to a big Goodie Bag packed with fun stuff, but I hope this simple, personal note will suffice instead. I know you understand!

Speaking of fibromyalgia, I had the chance to put my many years of experience living with the condition to good use, working with HealthyWomen to create a ton of new resources, including three videos—starring me (blush)—with tips for healthy living day-to-day, traveling in spite of pain, and working successfully. Here’s a quick list of all the awesome resources we created . As part of the project I also appeared with psychiatrist and chronic pain expert Lesley Arnold, M.D. on a bunch of TV and radio shows last week, which was so exciting! I’ll post links to a few clips on the site this week.

Last week I also had the privilege of writing an opinion piece for The Women’s Media Center about life with chronic illness and the importance of health care reform. Please take a moment to read it and chime in with your opinion.

Finally, I got to do something super-fun this past weekend: I was a bridesmaid in the wedding of pals Dena and Gavin. It’s always a blast to get dolled up, put on a fancy dress and dance all night. But more important, my friends do so much to support me, so it’s great to do something for them in return when I can. I hope you take the chance to do something nice today for those who care for you, too!

Now go do something fun, or relaxing, or fulfilling. I’ll be here on my couch, resting and watching bad TV, practicing what I preach.
