New today at ChronicBabe.com:
Don’t forget to breathe – a playlist

Cute headphones

Regular readers know Editrix Jenni has been focused on practicing mindfulness lately, and a big part of that is music; she uses it to re-focus her energy, distract herself from frustrations, relax during stressful times and remind her of her power. Most important, it helps regulate her breathing. She created a “breathe” playlist and is sharing it with you!

What's on our plate?

Laurie

A brand new episode of the ChronicBabe Podcast! Editrix Jenni spoke with Laurie Edwards a couple months ago about her terrific book, Life Disrupted: Getting Real About Chronic Illness in Your Twenties and Thirties . Laurie’s an expert writer and the epitome of ChronicBabe-dom, so don’t miss this episode—it’s a blast!

Did you know?

Jenni just launched another project as part of ChicagoNow, a collection of blogs for folks in her fair city. Her posts at Does This City Make Me Look Fat? will also have good ideas for ChronicBabes, so let her know what you think!

What we're up to lately...

Well if you haven’t figured it out already, we’re pretty darn busy this summer at ChronicBabe HQ and our satellite office, affectionately dubbed “The Internet.” (Editrix Jenni shares the workspace with four other fun-loving, creatively inclined geeks, plus an intern and summertime help from pal Natalie—it’s a full house!) We launched the Podcast and the Forum, and we’re prepping for Invisible Illness Awareness Week. We’re also enjoying lots of BBQ, t-ball games, outdoor yoga and more. Whew!

Do a friend a favor—forward this newsletter!

Goodie Bags are handed out every other Tuesday. Interested in advertising in the Goodie Bag? Want to submit an idea?
